A necessary condition for continuing high-intensity performance is slowing down the depletion of carbohydrate reserves (muscle glycogen), and that's where Penco® Energy Gel Long Trail comes in – a unique energy gel based on a combination of carbohydrates, electrolytes, and vitamin E.

Penco® Energy Gel Long Trail increases carbohydrate "fuel" levels before and during exercise. It contains a special blend of complex carbohydrates (maltodextrins) and simple sugars, including Palatinose for gradual energy release during prolonged sports activities.  

Isomaltulose Palatinose  is a natural substance, a slowly digestible carbohydrate with a low glycemic index. It is metabolized more slowly in the body than other sugars without a significant increase in glucose levels. It provides muscles and the brain with the same amount of energy as sucrose or glucose, but over a longer period of time.

The Na+ (sodium) and K+ (potassium) ions it contains replenish the minerals lost through sweat during strenuous exercise. Penco® Energy Gel Long Trail is enriched with vitamin E, which helps protect cells from oxidative stress.

The sodium content of Penco® Energy Gel Long Trail has been increased and the glucose:fructose ratio has been optimized. The optimal ratio of 2 Glu : 1 Fru allows athletes to absorb much more energy. It has been found that combining different types of carbohydrates increases absorption and thus provides more available energy (90 g of carbohydrates/hour) for endurance sports performance. Glucose alone burns a maximum of 60 g of carbohydrates per hour, while fructose is able to supply working muscles with extra energy in the form of an additional 30 g of carbohydrates/hour.

DOSAGE: Penco® ENERGY GEL LONG TRAIL should be taken every 30 minutes during exercise and immediately after exercise to shorten the body's recovery time. Using the gel is simple – every 30 minutes, squeeze the contents of the sachet into your mouth and wash it down with water or a very diluted hypotonic drink (200-300 ml). Replenishing fluids is essential to prevent dehydration and create the conditions for proper digestion and absorption of the gels. To ensure that you can rely on the gels during a race or match, it is advisable to test them during training. Recommended for all types of sports with a duration of more than 1 hour.
