Penco® IONOGEN is a liquid concentrate for the preparation of a medium-energy hypotonic drink, which adds to the water, important minerals and energy losses that occur during intense sports performance (longer than 45 minutes). If body fluids are not added, dehydration may occur. It has been shown that dehydration clearly reduces sports performance and is closely related to fatigue, headaches and sometimes nausea. By using the Penco® IONOGEN hypotonic drink according to the recommended dosage, dehydration can be avoided to extend the ability to maximize performance.
Excessive physical activity, in addition to its positive effects, leads to excessive formation of harmful free radicals in the body, which can be one of the causes of muscular injuries to muscle damage in sport. Penco® IONOGEN was therefore enriched with a very high dose of vitamin C antioxidants and folic acid that act as protective shields against free radicals.
Dehydration and ion imbalance are also associated with convulsions that occur in athletes during sporting activities.
