WHY USE Penco® Restart Drink?
Intense physical exertion without effective recovery can cause overload of the body, associated with loss of performance, exhaustion and fatigue. For complete recovery of the body after a strenuous athletic performance, 3 phases are crucial; the energy replenishment "refuel" phase, the fluid replenishment "rehydrate" phase and the rest "rest" phase.
PENCO® Restart Drink ensures both the "refuel" and "rehydrate" phases. In the "refuel" phase it will provide the exhausted body with a special blend of carbohydrates with a high glycemic index (GI), the so-called Energy-complex. In the "rehydrate" phase, it will supply the body with water and missing minerals; sodium, potassium and magnesium, which contribute to maintaining electrolyte balance and to normal muscle and nervous system function.
For effective regeneration it is important not only the composition of the regeneration drink, but also its correct timing, immediately after exercise, preferably within 15 min. The first 2 hours after exercise glycogen is stored the fastest. In this recovery window "anabolic window" it is therefore essential to provide enough suitable energy fuel to restore muscle glycogen. The muscles are thus ready to perform at maximum capacity during the next physical exercise.
Another active ingredient of PENCO® Restart Drink is Amino-Complex, consisting of a mixture of free branched chain amino acids BCAA in an optimal physiological ratio of 2:1:1. Completely unique is the instant form of the BCAA blend, which allows for quick preparation of the recovery drink. Unlike other amino acids, BCAAs are metabolized directly in the muscles, serve to build muscle tissue and also function as an energy substrate. Each serving of PENCO® Restart Drink contains 2,000 mg of BCAAs and 1,000 mg of L-glutamine.
