The loss of water and minerals by perspiration, along with the gradual depletion of energy sources, are the main cause of a decline in performance. Water deficit is manifested by gradual thickening of the blood and increasing its viscosity, which is a huge burden for the heart and kidneys and, together with overheating, leads to a dramatic decline in performance and serious health complications. The advantage of glucose polymers is that they do not greatly increase the osmolality of the beverage and thus allow efficient rehydration with increased energy consumption given by the intense endurance load. The sources of energy are simple sugars (glucose and sucrose), composite carbohydrates (maltodextrins) and unique disaccharide isomaltulose (PALATINOSE TM) for the progressive release of energy. In the PENCO® ENERGY DRINK recipe is 20% PALATINOSE TM. Sacharid Isomaltulosa was discovered in 1957. It is naturally found in honey and sugar cane. It is made from sucrose by the enzymatic conversion of the 1,2-glycosidic linkage between glucose and fructose to a binding of 1.6. Because of this differential binding isomaltulose is more stable than sucrose, it is metabolized more slowly without a significant increase in blood glucose. Isomaltulosa is the first slow-digesting sugar that gives the muscles and brain the same amount of energy (4 kcal / g) as sucrose or glucose, but over a longer period of time. While normal sugar or glucose makes use of the body very quickly and the blood sugar level drops to basal level after about 60 minutes, the isomaltulose saccharide is metabolized much more slowly and its blood level is fully exhausted after 2 hours. PALATINOSE TM is characterized by a low glycemic index (GI) and a low insulin response, is gentle on tooth and is also suitable for diabetics.

PREPARATION AND USE: Consume immediately before a performance and then every 10 - 15 minutes, depending
on the time, performance intensity and ambient temperature.
