Penco® MINERAL DRINK is a functional energy and rehydration ionic drink that replenishes depleted energy stores, replaces water and electrolyte deficiencies, thus improving the body's thermoregulation and reducing the risk of cramps.

Energy is supplied by a unique blend of 4 types of carbohydrates, both simple sugars and glucose polymers (maltodextrins). The optimal Glucose : Fructose ratio of 2 :1 allows athletes to absorb much greater amounts of energy. The combination of different carbohydrate types has been found to increase absorption and thus provide more available energy (90 g of carbohydrate/hour) for endurance sports performance. Glucose alone burns a maximum of 60 g of carbohydrate/hour, while fructose is able to provide extra energy to working muscles in the form of an additional 30 g of carbohydrate/hour.

The electrolytes sodium and potassium are also present in citrate forms, which regulate the acid-base balance in the body. They serve to buffer lactate, which is formed anaerobically from muscle glycogen during intense physical exercise.  Sources of other minerals are mainly organic well-utilized forms.

A 1 litre drink now contains around 15% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamins needed to maintain good health. 

For whom Penco® MINERAL DRINK is suitable:

PENCO® MINERAL DRINK prevents performance decline, especially during exercise up to 1.5 hours. It is therefore suitable for all sports activities where the active phase does not exceed this time. These include team sports, swimming, shorter training sessions or cycling or running races.

During running training, races or other endurance activities where you do not take a bottle with you then we recommend to mix yourself about half a dose of hypotonic drink PENCO® MINERAL DRINK and drink it before the exercise.

If you are not using a recovery drink, PENCO® MINERAL DRINK can also be used for recovery. Mix PENCO® MINERAL DRINK in an isotonic concentration with an osmolality of 300 mOsm/kg (1 scoop in 250 ml of water) and drink preferably within 15-20 minutes after sport activity. This will replenish not only fluids and minerals lost through sweat, but also glycogen stores. This way you will be better prepared for the next performance.
