WHAT IS PALATINOSE ?
The unique disaccharide isomaltulose (PALATINOSE TM ) is the first slowly digestible sugar that provides the same amount of energy (4 kcal/g) to the muscles and brain as sucrose or glucose, but over a longer time interval. While regular sugar or glucose is used up by the body very quickly and blood sugar levels drop to basal levels after about 60 min, the carbohydrate isomaltulose is metabolized much more slowly and its blood level is fully depleted after 2 hours.
HOW DOES THE CONTAINED BCAA WORK ?
Studies show that BCAAs can reduce feelings of fatigue and increase performance during endurance exercise. BCAAs are quickly absorbed by the body and can be used as:
- A source of energy when muscle glycogen is depleted
- Protection of existing muscle tissue (anti-catabolic effect)
- Rapid building unit for the construction of new muscle tissue (anabolic effect)
